Dr. Charlotte Achieng-Evensen
Senior Transformation Specialist, CalEPIC at Chapman University
Charlotte Achieng-Evensen is the Senior Transformation Specialist for the California Educator Preparation Innovation Collaborative (CalEPIC). Her scholarly work focuses on the intersections of critical teaching practice, African Indigenous Philosophies and decolonization. In addition to teaching university courses in educator preparation programs, Dr. Achieng-Evensen has been a practitioner within K12. Over the past 23 years, she has served school districts in a variety of roles including secondary humanities and language arts teacher, district program coordinator, curriculum designer, professional practice and development specialist.
