Overview

In partnership with Arnold Ventures, we are proud to release the fourth brief in our ongoing Pathways Policies That Work series, Finding Ladders in the Age of AI: How State Policymakers Can Identify Pathways to In-Demand Jobs in an AI Economy.

State policymakers therefore need to identify the occupations likely to provide economic mobility for students in an AI-infused economy. Fortunately, state policymakers already have the tools to identify these jobs; most just are not yet fully using them to meet the current moment.

Education First recommends that states incorporate a “career ladder” framework to identify priority occupations in an AI economy.
