Priscilla Aquino Garza is a Principal Consultant at Education First, where she advises education funders, state education agencies and their partners on designing and implementing system-level strategies to improve student outcomes, with particular focus on strategic school staffing, teacher apprenticeship models and college and career pathways.

Previously, Priscilla served as Senior Director of Policy and Programs at Educate Texas, where she led policy, advocacy, and programmatic efforts to support student success through college and career readiness, effective teaching, and degree and credential attainment. She previously served as interim executive director and deputy director at Stand for Children Texas, director of educator and student policy initiatives at the Texas Education Agency, and a research associate for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. She began her career as a middle school teacher, an experience that continues to ground her commitment to improving public systems so they better serve students, families and educators.
