Supported all start-up activities to launch Washington STEM, a statewide, business-led STEM initiative in Washington state. Work included strategic and program planning, facilitation among the start-up funders and business leaders, and organizational development. Created communications and network development materials, and executed program support through 2013. Identified a detailed $45million budget request with aligned policy and program priorities for the State of Washington to invest in STEM and Career and Technical Education (CTE) strategies. Detailed how Washington will strengthen computer science, career-connected learning, preK-3 mathematics and elementary science instruction for all students.
