In 2014 we worked with Phi Delta Kappa International to create a strategic plan for the launch of Educators Rising, a new teacher pipeline initiative. This organization provides high school students with hands-on teaching experience and sustains their interest in the profession through online and in-person support networks. Their goal is to create a pipeline of accomplished teachers who are ready on day one to make a lasting difference. Over the course of nine months, we assisted the leadership of Educators Rising in the development of a theory of action, objectives and methods for tracking success, and worked with them to create a plan for the growth of strategic partnerships and to create an effective organizational structure. We also helped them to develop a business plan to guide them over the next three years. This brief, developed collaboratively with Educators Rising, provides a summary of the organization and reflects our strategic thinking on Educators Rising’s structure and goals.
